 Julie, bryce and I spent the afternoon celebrating Justin and Jessica Hurtado’s birthdays at Lifetime fitness in Algonquin.  They had an whold afternoon of gym time and pool time.

If you can’t tell by the ear to ear smile, Bryce enjoyed the water! Thanks a ton Justin and Jessica for inviting Bryce to your birthday party!!!

While waiting at the airport to go home Julie, Bryce and myself went to get something to eat at the Airport Cafe.  Julie doesn’t care for lemons so we let Bryce try it, his reaction was very amuzing.  Not only did he like the lemons taste he kept wanting more of the bitter sweet taste.  Hope you see the humor in this as much as I did…

For Grandma’s 80th birthday we decided to get as much of the family together for a reunion.  To much of my surprise there was a great turnout!  A lot of the grandchildren and more grandchildren were able to make it!  I hope everyone gets a chance to check out the post. 

The first night everyone was in town, we had a huge dinner with most of the Frits’ who came out.  I think this has to be the largest Frits’ dinner I have been to in the past 10 years.  It was really nice to see everyone, Grandma really enjoyed seeing everyone!

Julie and I spent as much time with everyone and even debated extending our stay another day past our planned vacation end.  We decided against it due to the price change difference of the plane tickets.

Josh and myself decided to go for a swim in the nice warm ocean water….OK who am I kidding the water was damn cold!  About 60 degrees from what I could tell from my acute sense of water temperature measured by the sense of body chill.  Josh won the race out 100 yards or what we thought was far enough into the ocean and back to shore.  Yeah I let him win…well maybe not but that is what I’m going to stick with!  Rematch next time!!!

Our first family trip with Bryce was to San Diego for a Frits’ family reunion.  Julie, Bryce and myself left a couple of days earlier to catch a couple of parks, Disney Land, Sea World and the San Diego Zoo.  One of our biggest concerns was Bryce on the plane and if his ears would be OK during the ascent and descent of the flight.  We kept a pacifier and a full bottle of milk on hand when were taking off and landing.  Bryce ate or sucked on his pacifier enough that we don’t think he even realized any change in pressure.  Picture of mommy and Bryce on the plane…pretty cute if you ask me!

We didn’t ride a lot of rides but did take Bryce on a couple of the easier rides.

We had a great time at Disney Land!  It was great to watch Bryce swing his head in every direction looking at all of the moving displays of Disney characters, especially in the small, small world ride, Bryce couldn’t take all of the animated characters in fast enough.

Sea World park was the best park of the three we went to this past weekend for me.  Bryce seemed to really follow the whales and like to watch them, I will be putting up a video later showing him playing with the baby Killer Whale.

While at Sea World, we ended up running into Christine with her 3 kids and Grandma Linda.  What are the chances running into them?  Well that didn’t happen once but twice at the San Diego Zoo the next day.  The zoo really surprised me, the zoo was a couple of square miles of caged animals.

Well maybe not caged, the zoo did have some nice open spaces but nothing the animals would have been use to in the wild.  The babies would be all over playing but the older animals you could tell were sick and tired of being restricted to such a small and confined spaces.  The older animals, especially some of the primates were just sitting in the corner not moving, looking around or even eating.  Sad, and I can see how some of the PETA nuts would want to let them escape or even worse poison them.  Well enough of that tangent.

It took most of the day but we eventually found a line short enough to have our picture taken with the mice.  Who would have ever thought a couple of mice would have ever become popular enough to build a whole entire park after them!  Julie and I tried to get pictures with some of the other characters, Daffy, Donald, etc but every time we would get in line the characters would be going into retirement for the evening. Guess the heat wouldn’t allow the “actors” to endure more than 1/2 hour at a time in the sun, I’m sure it had to feel like 100+ degrees in them cartoon suits.

We’ve had many complaints about the site, and yes, we admit we’ve been horrible.  But you can see why.  Bryce is growing up quick.   Here’s Bryce on with girlfriend Savannah.  She’s a couple weeks younger, but we enjoy our walks & hanging out.

So I am FINALLY getting some more posted.  Bryce is 6 weeks today!  We’ve had so much fun,  and had lots of visiters.   6 weeks, also means mom has to start back to work.   Even though she’s working from home today,  she’s making dad take care of me.  I’m sure he’ll do just fine, cause daddy loves me, & likes making me laugh.

We weren’t sure what to think of our first bath.   We cried, but was hungry.  I’ve liked my other baths, so mom & dad are glad about that!  I even like getting my hair wet.  

   Amy & Waylon came by on their spring break.   We didn’t plan to match our outfits,  but they look good,  don’t they!?!?

  Mom’s cousins came by on their break too!  I was spoiled this week,  as grandma spent her whole spring break with me.  Here’s Olivia & Jennifer holding me.   Olivia was helping me & learning a lot, I imagine.   Like how real babies are more difficult than dolls.  

   Mom & Grandma took me to the mall to see the Easter bunny.  I slept most of the time.  Don’t I look cute??   I finally decided to put up with the hat, cause I knew mom wanted me to wear it.  

Here’s me with some tummy time.  I like laying on my stomach & looking around.  I’m able to turn my head back and forth.   I can squirm around a bit,  but got a ways till I can crawl.

 Mornings,  after I get a good night sleep, I am all smiley.  Mom & Dad enjoy making me happy.
